2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime – Most Powerful RAV4 In History

The most anticipated model of the year, the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime will be hitting the streets soon! The plug-in hybrid blends everything you love about the RAV4 plus a lot more. From super sporty performance to a long list of advanced technology features, the all-new RAV4 Prime is built to impress.

We will achieve that through a winning combination of performance, styling and price,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “The RAV4 Prime is an excellent example of going beyond a no-compromise approach to electrification and delivering big benefits to drivers.”
Not only do the innovative features in the RAV4 Prime impress, but so does its price. The RAV4 Primes will start at $44,990 which is just $2,200 more than the top grade RAV4 Hybrid.
The plug-in hybrid powertrain technology in the RAV4 Prime translates into 302 system horsepower with an impressive range of almost 1,000 km. The car also rockets from 0-100 km/h in just 6.0 seconds, which makes it the second-fastest vehicle in the Toyota lineup after the GR Supra.
The launch of the RAV4 Prime is a big step towards fulfilling Toyota’s electrification strategy. Toyota plans to launch 40 new or updated electrified vehicles globally by 2025. This includes at-least 10 zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs). Toyota has been working towards this goal since the launch of the first Prius 20 years ago, with the ambition to achieve zero emissions in a widespread and sustainable way.
Built on the current generation RAV4 Hybrid, the RAV4 Prime features more powerful motor-generators, newly developed high-capacity Lithium Ion battery and other powertrain enhancements.
Tough looks come standard in the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime which features a sporty design with exclusive features. Vertical LED daytime running lights, unique 19” wheels, panoramic moon roof, Supersonic Red exterior colour and unique red interior accents just to name a few.
It is easy to stay connected with the standard tech features available in the RAV4 Prime. This includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Connected Services by Toyota. You will also have peace of mind on your adventures with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, backup camera, and Toyota’s Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert safety technologies.
The 2021 RAV4 Prime will be available in SE and XSE trim and its rollout will begin in Quebec. As production ramps up in 2021, the vehicle will become available in rest of Canada.
